The 1000 km's
Our exact location every 1000 km's on our journey from Ushuaia to Colombia.
1000km

Perito Moreno Glaciar, Argentina - An an extra 160km round trip on the bike, but well worth the effort!
2000km

Carretera Austral, Chile - an epic 1000 km ride on 'ripio' through Chilean Patagonia.
3000km

Volcan Lanin, Argentina - heading back into Chile after the Ruta de los Siete Lagos.
4000km
Just south of Combarbala, Chile. A tough day of slow, steep cycling but an amazing sunset over the Andes at the top.
5000KM
The Atacama Desert, Chile - The driest desert in the world.
6000km
Ruta Del Ché in the Bolivian jungle, 1 day before La Higuera. Over 1000m climbs each day!
7000km

The Cordillera Blanca and the 'Huascaran circuit'. We climbed from 3000m altitude up to 5000m TWICE in the space of a few days. It was beautiful though!
8000km
Volcan Cotopaxi, Ecuador. We spent five pretty grueling days doing a 'hike-a-bike' around the back of the volcano.
9000km

Caribbean Coast, Colombia. A reminder that it isn't always glamorous or fun. The final puncture or the entire journey, only 10 km's away from the finish line! Yet, nothing could dampen our spirits.
