Cycling in the clouds... pretty common here in Ecuador.
Buena Vista! Hills in every direction makes for pretty tough cycling.
Pacha's growing bigger and running faster every day!
Just before a torrential downpour and inadvertently cycling through fresh tar... we spent the next two days cleaning the bikes and our clothes.
Pacha the guard dog!
Typical afternoon in the mountains.
We found this great little cabaña in the mountains, next to a shop with homemade yogurt and cheese. Great stop. Things were looking up from Peru in terms of the standard of living.
We finished the day in a little village. There was no hotels but a lady was kind enough to offer us a room in her house for the night. Much more comfortable than a night in the tent.
Poor pig. Travelling through South America, I think we both have went off eating meat.
Famous market at Guamote, Ecuador. It was a challenge to get out of town pushing our fully loaded bikes through the narrow streets with hundreds of people.
Sometimes the gradients here are just rediculous! This was a tough one!
Fist pump the air! After sucessfully making it up said steep climb... the altitude makes it that little bit harder too.
We love these quiet dirt roads so that Pacha can run off leash next to us.
NYE 2017! We stayed in Baños, Ecuador... a fun place to be for the celebrations. People make figures such as this and then burn them at midnight. The guys dress us as girls, as the 'widows' of the burnt men... they hold up traffic in the streets for a fee to pass. Pretty entertaining to watch.
