Leaving Mocoa, heading north... climbing our way out of the Amazon Rainforest.
Within a few days the landscape changes so much... from the Amazon Rainforest en route to the Desierto De La Tatacoa
Every cloud has a silver lining
The incredible landscape and colours of the Desierto de la Tatacoa.
Amazing hospitality from this sweet lady, we were genuinely blown away with how kind and friendly the Colombia people were.
Plenty of military on the road north, again they were all smiling and waving as we passed offering words of encouragement.
Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, our last few days in the mountains before heading down to the Caribbean coast.
Growing coffee plants. Finca La Victoria, Organic Coffee Farm.
The end product: Single source, organic, grade 1 roasted coffee beans!
Our last night in the mountains, looking down to the Caribbean Coast, where our journey ends.
We spent the last 5 days cycling along the Caribbean coast to reach our final destination - Riohacha.
Our wheels touching the Caribbean sea... a long way from where we began in Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina.
The last 68 km's of the entire journey. We had been aiming for this small town, Riohacha, for the last 18 months on the road.
Hitting the 9000km mark.
The last puncture, 10 km from our final destination.
All great things come to an end. We have learned so much about ourselves and each other on this trip. We have had incredible experiences that will never leave us, shared memories, laughter and inevitably some tough times... but we made it! And we have the best souvenir of the journey... our little Peruvian pup, Pacha, who completely enriched our adventure.
